Purpose of Position

The Manager, Partnerships reports to the Specialist, Partnerships and is an integral member of the team. The Partnerships Team advances EdReports’ mission to ensure all students and teachers have access to high quality instructional materials through leading work across the country to help increase awareness of why materials matter for student success, the characteristics of high-quality instructional materials, and how to run a strong adoption process. The Manager is responsible for supporting a portfolio of projects to increase the understanding and use of high-quality instructional materials as a critical lever for student success and to increase educational equity and access, with a particular focus on Mathematics. 

This position provides an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on managing data and project management systems, brings expertise and enthusiasm around the content-area specific characteristics of high-quality instructional materials and EdReports reviews, and wants to contribute to the success of a growing organization. The Manager will work closely with our partners in the field, such as states, districts and nonprofits. They will provide project management support in addition to using their Mathematics expertise to develop presentations, create resources, and lead professional learning around EdReports’ reviews and high-quality instructional materials. This position will allow for a highly motivated person to apply their expertise to positively impact the course of education across the nation. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Support Portfolio of Partnerships (75%)

  • Manage and coordinate across projects to ensure effective project management for partnerships with states, districts, and nonprofits by utilizing EdReports central systems (i.e., Salesforce, TaskRay, Google Suite, and Surveymonkey).
  • Develop and lead presentations on EdReports reviews, review tools, and adoption resources, coordinating with partnerships and academic team content experts.
  • Support project leads to capture and analyze data from surveys, focus groups, and feedback forms.
  • Draft presentations, collateral, and resources to support the effective use of EdReports reviews.
  • Stay abreast of relevant standards and instructional materials research and articles, particularly in the areas of Mathematics and district adoption practices. 
  • Maintain Google Suite folders with content and resources from current and past projects.

Support Mathematics Materials Reviews - 25%

  • Support review cycles and report development in collaboration with the Mathematics team.
  • Collaborate with the Mathematics team to create resources regarding the review processes for internal and external audiences.
  • Provide proofreading and fact-checking assistance during the review cycle to ensure final reports are accurate and website-ready.

Travel – Up to 20%  

National travel will occur related to organizational needs and for professional learning, as needed. Amount of travel will be monitored to ensure it is appropriate for both the organization and the Manager. Currently all travel is dependent on the status of the pandemic and comfort of EdReports staff.

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable passion for the EdReports’ mission, vision, and our core values and commitment to Diversity, Belonging, Inclusion and Equity.
  • Professional experience managing systems, project logistics, and improving organizational processes, required.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in education and/or related fields.
  • Knowledge of College and Career Ready Standards, Mathematics.
  • Professional experience in Mathematics education, required; classroom and/or school leadership experience, preferred.
  • Experience leading professional development on Mathematics standards and/or high-quality instructional materials.
  • An ability to successfully navigate ambiguity, maintain flexibility, work independently and collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders in a virtual work environment.
  • Exceptional written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in online platforms (Google Suite, required; Salesforce and LMS systems, preferred).

Salary:

The range for this position is $70,000 - $78,000 annually. At EdReports, in setting a final offer for a position, we consider the experience and skill of the candidates while striving to maintain equity in our compensation bands. For this and other reasons, our salary offers are non-negotiable.
